Sauce- Boats: Upon the advice of the friendly server, I just had to sample a few more dishes: the Fish Filet in Black Bean Sauce ($11.95) and the String Beans with Chicken in a garlic sauce ($8.95). Both of these dishes were exciting and very tasty, but for those who want to watch their intake of sodium, the black bean sauce can be a little overwhelming. I would still order it but would ask for the sauce to be a little less salty.
Leaving the house, guests wound their way around the park-like grounds through a lush paradise of foliage, and marveled at the spiraling branches of the sculptured hazelnut and weeping mulberry trees. They were greeted with champagne flecked with edible gold and a full bar serving blood-orange martinis. The caterer, Kitchen for Exploring Foods, served dishes that echoed the eclectic mix of ethnic d cor, suiting everyone's taste with lollipop lambchops with pomegranate wine sauce and mint relish; duck confit on a crostini; b'stilla chicken phyllo triangles with warm curry sauce; rare roast beef with horseradish sauce and hydroponic watercress on black olive toast; or farfalle pasta with pesto, peas, asparagus and fava beans with Reggiano Parmesean cheese.See Also Circuits On Boats:Volts, ohms, and amperes ("amps") are the terms used to describe, respectively, electromotive force ("voltage"), electrical resistance, and rate of current flow. One volt is the force that will produce a current of one ampere in a conductor that has a resistance of one ohm. Two other important quantities are power and energy, and you should understand the difference between them. "Power" is
defined as the rate at which energy is generated or consumed. For household or dockside electricity usually 120 volts alternating current (AC) power is measured in volt-amps or watts. For direct-current circuits on boats, power is measured in watts. Total energy consumed or generated is measured in units that factor in time, such as watt-hours, or amp-hours; a larger unit is kilowatt-hour, equal to 1,000 watt-hours.
Radar is an excellent means of marine navigation and is used on vessels of all sizes, down to boats of about twenty feet in length. Although not installed on all recreational boats, its capabilities and limitations should be known to all boaters for their own safety when cruising on waters navigated by radar-equipped vessels.
On The Other Hand See "small Boats:It is important to keep in mind that the small extinguishers usually carried on "small boats normally discharge the extinguishing agent
The twenty-six Paris bridges across the Seine, a river that is just the right width to inspire a gifted "pontifex," are a notable family in their own right, several of them being artistic masterpieces, and one may find endless stimulation in weaving a shuttle's path over and back or in taking one of the small summertime river steamers, called Bateaux Mouches, for a fascinating ride under them. The name means fly-"small boats and has reference to their swift darting along and across the river for various landings. They are double-decker "small boats of considerable water charm, and guides chatter informatively about what is seen from the decks. The newest of the Mouches, called the Parisien, has air-conditioning, which makes a meal in the ship's dining room pleasant. Don't miss the Bateaux Mouches.
