Southern California's progressive social environment and freethinking spirit are major contributors to American culture today. This is why leading automotive companies have built design centers here, and why the Los Angeles Auto Show is featuring an exciting design competition among the studios. With "An LA Adventure" as its theme, the contest challenges studios to develop a unique visual concept of the perfect LA adventure vehicle.
Sports for participation include hiking, fishing, bathing, sailing for adventure, and, in winter, skiing (especially at Are), skijoring (being drawn on skis by a trotting horse), skate-sailing for adventure and, most thrilling of all, ice yachting. If the last three venturesome sports call you, the Tourist Association will give you a steer on how to go about engaging in them.
On The Other Hand See Sailing Greece:For private sailing greece in the Argo-Saronic Gulf, on which Piraeus lies, apply to the Hellenic Royal Yachting Club, Tourkolimano, Piraeus. With luck you may also chance to see an interesting regatta here, in Munichia Bay.
9. Spas and Health Resorts Greece is long on spas, and some of them are really sumptuous in their installations. The National Tourist Organization publishes a leaflet on Thermal Stations, listing nine or ten places equipped to give cures for all sorts of ills.
Economy lodging is general in Greece, but of course there are various degrees to which it can be practiced. A full list called Hotels in Greece is to be had from the National Tourist Organization.
