Include A Sailing Permit: If you cannot secure a copy of your birth certificate, for reasons of fire or otherwise, you can still get your passport, but there's more delay and red tape. The usual period of waiting, when there is no such complication, is from ten days to two weeks, (Non-U.S. citizens going abroad should check up with a travel agency, concerning additional requirements. These include a Sailing Permit, with tax clearance, securable from an Internal Revenue office, and Re-entry'emit to facilitate return to the States.)
Sports for participation include hiking, fishing, bathing, sailing, and, in winter, skiing (especially at Are), skijoring (being drawn on skis by a trotting horse), skate-sailing and, most thrilling of all, ice yachting. If the last three venturesome sports call you, the Tourist Association will give you a steer on how to go about engaging in them.See Also Strongly To Sailing And Swimming:Sports for participation run strongly to sailing and swimming, but a more thrilling, and perhaps dangerous, sport is canoeing on some of the country's rushing torrents, notably in the Drina. In winter, especially in northern Croatia, skiing comes into its exciting own. For comment on the mighty ski jump of Planica see the concluding portion of Sifted Sights above. Other skiing regions are in Bosnia and on the Sar Mountains, in northern Macedonia, where international skiing cup races are held.

On The Other Hand See Sailing And Swimming:Sports for participants include present-day golf, with 15 or more good courses in Holland, and, of course, sailing and swimming. The most famous beaches are at Scheveningen, Noordwijk and Zandvoort, but there are many more, such as those of thunderous surf on the outer rim of the Island of Texel.
9. Spas and Health Resorts There are no mineral-spring spas in Holland, but the smooth play-beaches are certainly to be characterized as health resorts.
Sports to be practiced in Italy include, as everywhere, golf (check with the local EPT offices in any city or large resort), but swimming and sailing are chiefly suggested by Italy's well-watered geography, both fresh and salt. In such handsomely equipped bi-seasonal holiday centers as Cortina, sports of almost all types are very popular, tennis, golf, shooting and fishing in summer, skiing, skating and tobogganing in winter.
