Important Sailing Regatta: The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, in June, command international attention. So does the big Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race, in April, on the Thames. Another Thames event, the Henley Royal Regatta, comes in June; and in yachting, the famous Cowes Week (Cowes, Isle of Wight) tops all others, this being England's most important sailing regatta. 8. Sports to be Witnessed or Practiced Regattas, both national and international, are favorite sports of Yugoslavia, with its long and island-sheltered Adriatic coast line. On The Other Hand See Sailing Regattas:Sports for participation include hiking, fishing, bathing, sailing regattas, and, in winter, skiing (especially at Are), skijoring (being drawn on skis by a trotting horse), skate-sailing regattas and, most thrilling of all, ice yachting.
