Boat Lettering:

Boat Lettering, Banana Boat Song, Larson Boatsboat lettering-to-boat lettering calls. When you hear your Boat lettering called, put your transmitter on the air and say: "(Name of Boat lettering that called), this is (name of your Boat lettering), over." Switch to the agreed-upon inter-ship working channel. After the conversation is completed, say: "This is (name of your Boat lettering), out." Shore-to-ship calls. When you hear the name of your Boat lettering called, put your transmitter on the air and say: "(Name of station that called), this is (name of your Boat lettering and call sign), over." After the conversation is completed, say: "This is (name of your Boat lettering), out."

7. Maneuver for the pick up. In some cases, you can approach from the windward of the victim, and let the Boat lettering drift down toward him, providing a lee. In most cases, however, it is best to approach from leeward in order to avoid having your Boat lettering blow right over the victim. Just slight amounts of power will be needed to keep your Boat lettering under control. A sailboat lettering should approach nearly on the wind so that it can luff up to stop the headway when the victim is reached. In any case, stop the Boat lettering a short distance from the victim, and throw him a line, such as a ski tow rope, that floats. It is less hazardous than trying to maneuver your Boat lettering right up to him.

Range: Key West and adjacent keys, Monroe County, Florida Description: Changes color readily; throat faintly streaked with dark green; gular sac carmine at base, becoming maroon forward; when sac at rest, a wide, white streak present; reaches length of 6 inches Habitat: In trees, shrubs, walls of buildings, and particularly on trunks of coco palms Reproduction: Oviparous; eggs deposited June-July; usually 2, buried few inches under loose, slightly moist debris; soft-shelled; hatch in 6-7 weeks Anoles are excellent inhabitants for a woodland terrarium. They make gentle pets and soon learn to take food from one's fingers. They never eat banana Boat songs as the circus crier claims when he sells these pretty creatures. They lap the banana boat Song in a desperate effort to obtain the moisture which is so essential to their existence. However, the banana boat Song does furnish an excellent medium in which to breed fruit flies, a favorite food of anoles (see Part III). Both anoles are similarly maintained.

On The Other Hand See Larson Boats:

Radar is an excellent means of marine navigation and is used on vessels of all sizes, down to larson boats of about twenty feet in length. Although not installed on all recreational larson boats, its capabilities and limitations should be known to all boaters for their own safety when cruising on waters navigated by radar-equipped vessels.

The prudent skipper will have a thorough knowledge of the Rules that apply to all types of larson boats and ships that operate on waters that he or she uses. The official text of the Rules are in the Coast Guard publication Navigation Rules, International-Inland, which is available at most chart outlets. The major requirements that apply to recreational larson boats are listed briefly here.
