Boat Cover: There is probably nothing that marks the knowledgeable skipper as much as the proper flying of flags on his or her Boat cover. There are no laws or regulations governing the display of flags and pennants on a recreational craft, but there are well-established customs and procedures. These cover what flags are to be flown, what size they should be, and when and where on a Boat cover they should be displayed. The term "colors" properly applies only to the flag at the stern of a Boat cover that denotes its nationality. In practice, however, it has come to be used to describe all the flags flown.
boat cover-to-boat cover calls. When you hear your Boat cover called, put your transmitter on the air and say: "(Name of Boat cover that called), this is (name of your Boat cover), over." Switch to the agreed-upon inter-ship working channel. After the conversation is completed, say: "This is (name of your Boat cover), out."
Shore-to-ship calls. When you hear the name of your Boat cover called, put your transmitter on the air and say: "(Name of station that called), this is (name of your Boat cover and call sign), over." After the conversation is completed, say: "This is (name of your Boat cover), out."See Also Boat Trip:If the bottom is foul or rocky in the area where you must anchor, it is advisable to rig a buoyed trip line, as shown in Figure 3-14. Make a light line fast to the crown; the line should be long enough to reach the surface, where it is buoyed with any convenient float. Be sure to allow for a rise in tide. If the anchor does not come free with a normal pull on the rode or by maneuvering the Boat trip while pulling on the rode, haul in on the trip line, and the anchor will be freed, crown first.

The FCC issues licenses for both stations and operators. These may
be required in some instances, but not in others.
Station Licenses
For non-commercial Boat trips used in United States waters, no station license is required for a VHF set; likewise, no license is needed for a radar or emergency beacon (but the latter should be properly registered; see below). If the craft is to cruise into international waters (except for a trip from and back into a United States port such as an offshore fishing trip) or into the waters of another country,
a station license must be obtained. There is one exception: Canada does not require a United States Boat trip to have a VHP radio license if it is cruising in Canadian waters for less than 45 days. A Single Sideband transceiver must be licensed regardless of where it is to be used. The license term is for ten years, and must be renewed.

The main responsibility of any Boat salesperson is to generate dollars and keep the flow of dollars coming into the business. 1 think it is a good idea to determine an average that you want to attain from each wedding. To meet these financial requirements my Boat sales staff is responsible for making Boat sales presentations and billing. The Boat sales department in my studio is also responsible for customer relations and keeping records of the proofs.
